At Aleph Bais Velt (our girls’ school) and Nachas Velt (our boys’ school), we bring learning and Yiddishkeit to life. A veteran early childhood mechaneches with over three decades of experience, Rebbetzin Goldman lovingly imbues her young charges with yiras Shamayim while teaching them a broad range of valuable life skills, from nutrition and food groups to expressing emotions.
Class sizes are small, with about 12-16 children per class, and we take a personal interest in the welfare of each student. We recognize that children learn best through experience, so we make grape juice to learn about brachos, hear from Hatzolah members about safety, and watch a live caterpillar metamorphose into a butterfly. During outdoor playtime, children can burn energy and get some exercise on our sprawling playground, which includes swings, a climbing gym, a merry-go-round, riding toys and more.
We endow children with the skills they need to succeed in their future schooling. Our comprehensive kodesh program includes aleph-bais recognition and name writing, parashah, Pirkei Avos, tefillah,Yamim Tovim, and more, in addition to teaching numbers, shapes, and colors. When students graduate our program, we ease their transition to kindergarten by advising interested parents which school we feel will be a good match for their child. Principals trust our recommendations; they know our students come to them prepared.
